  • Intensive Support

Intensive Support is designed for schools that have not previously engaged with the Maths Hub or those that may have paused their engagement and now require help to re-establish their connection.

This tailored support focusses on schools needing to build additional capacity, enabling them to fully participate in the hub’s standard activities over time. Schools are selected through a structured process based on established criteria, such as attainment levels, Ofsted reports, or specific referrals (e.g: PEIA requests / Rise team referral).

    The programme aims to:

    • Develop the school’s capacity to drive cultural change in the teaching and learning of mathematics.

    • Establish a strong partnership with the Maths Hub, ensuring the school can effectively engage with its teaching for mastery initiatives.

Each participating school is partnered with an Intensive Support Partner (ISP), an experienced professional specialising in whole-school change. The program typically includes up to six days of support, with the option of additional grant funding for up to six further days to release staff and implement agreed-upon actions, fostering sustainable improvement.
