Explore and increase use of a range of pedagogic approaches aligned with teaching for mastery.

Professional Learning:

Enhance maths subject knowledge, focusing on key concepts, representations, and language (e.g., number sense, additive reasoning, fractions).

Identify common misconceptions and strategies to address them for concept mastery.

Identify and apply pedagogical approaches that enhance teaching and learning in maths.

Develop understanding of key principles and approaches related to teaching for mastery

What is involved?

Participants will attend four days of sessions over one academic year.

Structured conversations will focus on maths, pedagogy, misconceptions, and transferring approaches to classrooms.

Between sessions, participants contribute to an online community, complete school-based tasks, and share observations with peers.
